UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge June Week 4

This week's challenge was set by the Rik Rak Ravers and we were challenged to use the sketch provided for 10 points, use pink, white and green colours for 10 points, for rik rak for 5 points and stitching for the final 5 points.

I have fulfilled all the criteria as requested using various digi kits.

Darcey's Birthday Cupcakes

It is my friend's little girl's birthday party today and I said I would make some cupcakes. I made the hearts and the letters yesterday and then I made the cakes last night and decorated them this morning.

On top of each cake is a thin layer of buttercream and then a white fondant disc of icing. I have found a 2.5 inch scone cutter makes the perfect size disc!

The heart is cut from red fondant that I added some gum tragacanth to firm it up a bit and the letters are cut using flowerpaster and Tappits Funky letter set.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge June Week 3

This week's challenge was set by Cosmic and she set the following rules:

- For 10 points, lets scrap the animals and birds that co exist with us in our everyday lives.
- For 5 points, go MAD with embellishments...THE MORE, THE BETTER!
- For 5 points, I'm liking the colour blue at the moment, so I want to see a splash or a lot of blue on your layouts.
- For 10 points, I like to concentrate on one area of the page on some of my layouts, be it a corner or the whole of one edge.

I have used Over The Rainbow digi kit by Kate Hadfield. It is so scrummy and bright.

This is a picture of our wedding where our dog Ben (on the right) and the in-laws dog also called Ben (on the left) were the special guests complete with coordinated dickie bows. Unfortunately neither dog is still with us. I miss my little Benny everyday - he was my little baby.

Here is my layout. This is the cake that we made at my cake class - except the tutor wanted us to do it in chocolate fondant and ivory flowers and I thought it looked a bit Seventies so I did it in white and black. Has taken hours to make and I am giving it to my friend who is having a birthday BBQ today.

I have learnt so much. I do love her lessons and they are all on offer at the moment. Somehow Digi In Deeper No 2 fell into my basket today - but I must finish this Pen Tablet course first.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge June Week 2

This week's challenge was set by the Bijoux Belles. It is all in dedication to their team mate Kay who has been a poorly soldier but she is thankfully slowly recovering. Kay is a good friend from our 365 challenge and I wish her well xxx.

The criteria was:

- a busy page with no white space and multiple photos, 10 points
- an outdoor theme and the colour green or a nautical theme and the colour blue, 10 points
- use only old stash, 10 points.

I have used some photos of our camping at the Great Dorset Steam Fair last year for my outdoor theme. I have used 4 photos and have as little white space as possible. The stash is an old digi kit by Monica Guerra Leira called Waiting to Happen. I don't remember where I got the kit from but the folder properties say March 2009 so it is definitely old.

UK Scrappers Monthly Challenge June

This is my entry for the monthly challenge for June on UK Scrappers.

4x6 Photo Love - May

I am poorly honest! But I am just quietly laid in bed (when work leave me alone) and creating away.

This double layout I have done for Shimelle's 4x6 Photo Love class here. I must have forgotten to take part in April's. It is all photos from Ali and Adam's wedding and I have used Dawn Inskip's Handle With Care kit.

Not much has happened all week as I have been ill with tonsilitis so whilst laid up in bed waiting for the antibiotics to work their magic, I have been doing a bit of digi scrapping.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge June Week 1

This week's challenge was set by The Scrapapples and we were challenged to:

1. journal about expecting or waiting for something ~ 10 points
2. to mark the 6th month of the year, use 6 different papers in your layout ~ 10 points
3. include blue, green and yellow colours to celebrate the coming of summer ~ 5 points
4. and finally to celebrate ‘in bloom’ add petals or flowers ~ 5 points

I have used a photo of me heavily pregnant and a photo of Zoe at just a couple of days old.

I have used 6 papers (all from Dawn Inskip's new digi kit called Handle With Care) but I have recoloured some of them to incorporate the requested colours.

I have based the layout on a sketch from Shimelle which I think has been used on the Scrap Factor over on UKS.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge May Week 5

This week's challenge was set by Jo.Bee and she asked us to use the following in our layout:

4x6 photo (for 10 points)

Punches (for 10 points)

History (for 10 points)

Both photos started off as a 4x6 photos. The one in the background was fitted to the 12x12 page and the hands photo I used a digital punch to cut into a heart shape.

The history is moment that our friends Ali and Adam exchanged rings and became man and wife - a magical moment of history in anyone's life!

Congratulations to them both x
