UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge July Week 4

This week's challenge was set by Mrs Chesire aka Dawn.

She challenged us to punches for 10 points - I have used a digital "punch" to make the corners of my photo and it's mat rounded. Next we had to have numbers in our title for 10 points and then finally have hidden journalling for the last 10 points. I have hidden my journalling under a flower and the digital inking.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge July Week 3

This week's challenge was set by the Tag-a-Longs. We were given this lovely photo to use as an inspiration so I have used it as my sketch (well sort of!)

We then had to scrap a celebration - I chose to use today's photo of Zoe's last day of school and the caterpillar cupcakes I made for her teacher. We also had to use a tag and some ribbon. My journalling is on the tag and there is a ribbon on the frame on the cake photo.

I have made these vanilla cupcakes as a thank you to Zoe's teacher and teaching assistant.

UKS Weekly Challenge - July Wk 2

This week's challenge was set by ScattyChick aka Michelle. She challenged us to:

- use old technique or embellishment for 5 points

- use new technique or papers for 10 points

- scraplift or use a sketch for 10 points

- use blue for 5 points

I have used an old technique of colouring in an open alpha with green paint. The new technique is the two-tone starburst pattern on the background paper. The sketch is the current Pencillines sketch.

I have eventually got round to starting the latest set of digi lessons by Jessica Sprague.

Here is my lesson 1 layout.

Shock Horror - some real life scrapping!!!

This is the first weekend in ages that we haven't had anything on and so I have made the most of it and got into my craft room. First it need a jolly good tidy up! I cannot work in a mess!!! And then I did some real life scrapping!

Firstly I did a Crafty Magpie mojo layout for June - the mojo prompt I picked was from Vanessa and it was to double mount the photos. I have used June's Sarah's Cards kit.

These are photos of Zoe on her school's Sports Day! They just me chuckle as they have captured her boredom whilst waiting her turn.

Secondly I did a CJ sketch.

These are photos from last weekend at Julia's 40th birthday party. The girls were playing inflatable guitars along with the jazz band that were playing. Very comical to watch.

And then I caught up with July's mojo layout. This time I picked a mojo prompt from Karen and it was to create a layout about someone I love and journal 5 reasons why I love them so much.

I took this picture at Easter and it is one of my favourites.

I also made July pages for my diary - which I never seem to get round to photographing to put on here.

UKS Monthly Challenge - July

For this month, we were given a sketch and we also had to scrap either blurry jittery photos or use a jigsaw piece.

I have used various elements and papers all from Dawn Inskip, except the jigsaw ocerlay which was a freebie from somewhere.

I have used Studio Baers Garten's digi kit called Homemade. I have recoloured a few of the elements and papers.

I made and decorated 83 cupcakes last weekend for a friend's birthday party. It took me about 15 hours but they were well appreciated and soon all eaten up.

This week's challenge was set by Wonky and she asked us to:

- use one photo of one thing - 10 points

- circles - 10 points

- doodling - 5 points

- eyelets/brads - 5 points

I have used MicroFerks digital kit called Verano and found a bow with eyelets on it (kit unknown). The doodled border is from ScrapnArt's Urban Love.

The photo is of Zoe's friend Eva who had had her face painted as a beach by her very talented face painting Mummy.
