Create 10 - Class 3

I think I am all scrapped out now for the day!!! The third class is called Stack It Up and was all about making stacked embellishments from paper and felt and any other bits and bobs that would suit. I made 32 flowers this afternoon and used up all my glue. Then there was a choice of making a heart shaped wreath or a layout featuring the heart shape. I have done the layout but have plenty of flowers left over to make a wreath too.
I have used Echo Park Sweet Summertime papers and various colours of felt. I love this layout.
The photos do not do it justice as they have come out a bit dark.
This is a close up of the flowers.

Create 10 - Class 2

And 4 hours later, here is class 2. This one is all about layers and ofcourse using up paper scraps. We had to cut 12" by 1" deep strips, make one edge shaped by either using punches and decorative scissors and then fold each strip multiple times to make gathers. These were then layered on top of each other.
We made a heart paper chain embellishment (well I made 2 as I messed my first one up!)
And then a few other embellishments and we are:
I don't think I have ever taken so long to make a layout.

Create 10 - Class 1

Check out this fabulous class for just £5. I think this maybe the best fiver I have spent all year! There are 10 classes to get you to use up scraps and stash that you haven't used in ages - their theme is Waste Not Want Not. Perfect for all the kits I have bought and I have just odds and ends left over.
This class got you to use the scraps of papers to make your own embellishments using paper dies and punches. This is not my usual style at all and it took me ages to do but I really enjoyed doing it.
There are lots of layers and height using sticky pads.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge July Week 3 & Chicken Soup Week 3

This week's challenge over on UKS was set by the Urban Faeries. The challenge criteria was:
- Make your own background/paper - 10 points - I have doodled around the edge of the cardstock
- Embossing -5 points - I have used a cuttlebug die that cuts and embosses to make the photo frames
-Use Summer Colours - 5 points - the patterned paper is pinks and green - very summery
- Stamping - 5 points - I have used a stamp along the bottom that says Summer Days
- Lace - 5 points - I have used a Martha Stewart border punch on the patterned paper to give a lay edge.

I am also entering this layout for the Chicken Soup Week 3 challenge here. We were given this David Bowie album cover to use as inspiration.

So here is my layout

Club Anya & Friends - Saturday Sketch 27

I love The Greeting Farm stamps and have just bought a few digi ones.
I love these cake designs. This card is using the Royal Pain digi stamp.

Challenge 2 - Summer Days - Bunny Zoe's Crafts

This challenge can be found here. We have been challenged to create a summer related creation. I have made a card using the High Hopes stamp called Soccer Star - seemed apt seeing as we have seen so much football this summer. He is coloured using Pro Markers. The football paper is a from an old Forever Friends pad.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge July Week 2

This week's challenge was set by Wonky. She asked to create a layout using bright colours for 10 points, use a TV or film title for 10 points, use buttons for 5 points and use flowers for the final 5 points.
I have used Dawn Inskip's Template number 4 as the basis for the layout and then have used various digi papers and elements from the Sugarplum Paperie kit's from the Digi Chick kit called Candy Sunshine and Dawn Inskip's Strawberry Crush kit and the flowers are from PickleBerryPop's Garden of Plenty collaboration kit.
The photos are of a recent visit to Lego Land and Zoe on the L-Driver ride. My TV title is Top Gear - seemed quite fitting.

Bunny Zoe's Crafts Card Challenge

Hurrah I have made a card - the first one in ages and it has taken hours to make too. Not sure why but it just wasn't coming together very well.
Here it is:
I have used a High Hopes stamp called Danni Dress Up - isn't she cute? I have coloured her in using Pro Markers. I have made it as a Thank You card to give to one of the girls at my Zoe's nursery when she leaves at the end of the summer.
The papers are Imaginisce Fairest of Them All - Sweet Satin Ribbons and Magic Meadows on green Bazzill. I have used some pins and buttons from Fashion Sense called Sassy and lots of gems.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge July Week 1

This week's challenge has been set by The Lay (ab) outs and we were challenged to use the sketch for 10 points, 7 of something for 5 points, photo of something or someone relaxing for 10 points and stitching or stamping for the final 5 points.
I have done this in digi as my printer has run out of ink so I couldn't print any photos.
I have met all the criteria - my 7 of something is 7 different digi papers.
