Red Nose Fun

Zoe has her first sleepover last night and then today we have done lots of baking and have been to Alice Adventureland. I have got loads of great photos.
I love these two of Zoe and Eva wearing a red nose - they were screaming out to be photoshopped!

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge February Week 3

This week's challenge was set by the Scrappycats. Their criteria were:
"Last week was Valentine's Day. The shops have been filled with red hearts and flowers for weeks so we thought we'd kick back.

1. We want you to scrap using primarily black and white OR use black and white photographs. There must be NO red or pink on your layout or embellishments and definitely NO hearts or flowers. 10 points
2. Two's company, three's a crowd. We've had couples all week- use three pictures on your layout . 10 points
3. We've had enough of the word "LOVE" too, so for your title use a different single four letter word. 10 points"

I have used Dawn Inskip's Rainy Day's and Mondays kit.

Crafty Magpie Monthly Mojo Challenge

My team over on UKS, Crafty Magpies, are a very busy and productive team and before Christmas we swapped some mojo prompts, with the idea being that we pick at least one each month. This month I picked a lovely Pagemaps sketch (from Vanessa I think)and made this layout.

It is using the gorgeous new Echo Park Little Girl papers.

Shimelle's - Sketch of the Week - 9th Feb

Whilst browsing through some blogs recently, I found this great challenge set by Shimelle. She is putting up a different sketch each week - just for fun. I love sketches as they take a bit of the thinking out of scrapping - and I need all the help I can get!
So here is my attempt. I have used Dawn Inskip's new Crush digi kit. The alphas are from other kits by Dawn.

A Mini a Month - Envelope Book

Karen on UK Scrappers has set a year long challenge to make a mini book a month. Details can be found here on Karen's blog. She has lots of posts for the January book and also the February one. There is a social group on UKS which can be found here.
Here is my Envelope Mini Book. Karen's theme was New Beginnings but I didn't go with that theme as I have been desperate to make a Halloween mini album - so this was the perfect opportunity!
All the papers and most of the embellishments are Bo Bunny.

Thanks for looking and thanks to Karen for a great challenge. February's album prompt goes live tomorrow morning - check out her blog for more info!

My Weekly Life - Week 6

Doing these weekly diaries, makes me realise just how boring my life is. This week's layout started off with 7 photo boxes and then I had to reduce it to 4 as I didn't have enough to say!
When I was driving Zoe to ballet yesterday, I saw this little lonely daffodil. Is this a sign of Spring? Not so, this morning, as it blowing a gail and chucking it down with rain!

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge January Week 5

This week's challenge has been set by the Indecisives. As their team name suggests, they cannot make a decision and so their challenges always have lots of options and this one was no different!
They provided a sketch which we had to use for 5 points, then there was a choice of 3 themes for 5 points and then a long list of techniques or elements to use and we had to chose 4 of these for 5 points each.
I have used Dawn Inskip's new digital kit (I think I may be becoming addicted to her kits!) called Tinker. My theme was Friends and then my 4 elements/techniques were to scrap in just 2 colours (Dawn's kit was perfect for this!), use doodling, use a stamp and use ribbon but not in the form of a bow.
