52 in 10 Week 12 - Guessing who is coming to dinner

This week's prompt was to think about who we would like to go to dinner with. Well I could have chosen a long list of people, but in the end I chose Eddie Izzard. I have just got into running in the hope of losing some weight and I have signed up for the Race for Life (please feel free to sponsor me - see my side bar). He ran 43 marathons in just over 50 days. He hadn't run before and he had lots of problems during the duration of his runs, but he was so determined. I would love to spend a couple of hours with him to find out what made him do it, how he kept going when he was in agony and just chat about everything. What a star!

52 in 10 Week 11 - Faults, Flaws and Foibles

This week we had to do a layout about our faults and flaws. Well as much as I would like to say that I am perfect, I can't!
I think my most worst fault is that I am obsessed with housework - especially if we have people coming round. I am very anal about it and cannot bear to see mess, dust, fluff or anything out of place. Friday is my housework day and I scream at poor James if he makes a mess afterwards.
Karen challenged us to make our own embellishments. I have used various sized flower punches to make my own flowers. Each one has 3 layers and a gem in the middle.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge March Week 3

This is a bit late posting it on here but I did do it in the allotted week and just haven't got round to putting it on here. The challenge was set by the Crafty Magpies and we were challenged to:
The challenge is to be based on a tribute to a man/men in your life - 10pts
To follow the sketch given - 10pts
To include the colour green - 5pts
To include a bird or bird related item (feather, bird pattern paper, bird stamped image, etc) - 5pts
This is my nephew Connor playing on our Wii. I have used an old Total Papercrafts kit.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge March Week 2

This week's challenge was set by Alison. She challenged us to use up old stash for 10 points, use fabric for 10 points and make our own embellishments for the final 10 points.
My old stash is the polka dot alphas - I have had them for at least 2 or 3 years and then I used fabric to make my own flower embellishments by cutting circles out and then holding them over a candle so the fabric melts and ruches up. Buttons are then sewed into the middle. I have also made circular embellishments from patterned papers and Nestabilities and then inked the edges.

52 in 10 Project - Week Ten - Best Friend

Tina is my oldest friend. We lived next door to each from the age of nine and although we don't much of each other I still classs her as my best friend. She was a bridesmaid at my wedding and I at hers, and she is Zoe's God Mother. I have used a previous Total Papercrafts kit and my MS ribbon punch and some delicate blue ribbon. The photo was taken on Tina's hen night.
I have tried some of Shimelle's tips for using old stash and dug out out brads and eyelets.

UK Scrappers - March Week 1

This week's challenge was set by Amanda Mary and she challenged us to up to 3 colours from the list of Black, White, Grey, Blue or Pink for 10 points. She also asked us to use more than 1 photo for another 10 points and finally for 5 points each, use a song lyric, poem line or title and bling or blooms.
I have used some photos of our toys when we all met last week at the Farnborough craft show and used only black, white and pink. My bling comes in the form of the glittery alpha, glittery mount behind the photos and the gems and pearls in each corner of the page. My song title is Ya Gotta Have Friends by Bette Midler. I have to admit to not knowing this song but I Googled it.
More info can be found about our toy challenge here

I am also entering this for Sketch Challenge No 4 over on A Trip Down Memory Lane here

52 in 10 Project - Week Nine - Friends

This week's layout is all about our friends. I have done a layout about the fab friends that I have made through crafting.
The paper is Scenic Route and I have layered the flowers and added gems. I have used ribbons and Bazzill edges.
