UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge March Week 4

This week's challenge was set by Deelish here.
She challenged us to:
5 points for including blue, 10 points for Summer themed photo, 5 points for journalling and 10 points for a home made embellishment or real life bit of memorabilia.
I have used a combination of digi kits by Dawn Inskip - Ocean and Living Seas
The real life embellishment was a bit difficult as I have challenged my self to do every weekly challenge this year but everyone must be in digi. The little turtle tag is my real life embellishment.
Full points for The Crafty Magpies.

Zoe learns to ride her bike!

Zoe has never been confident on her bike and even less so without stabilisers! But with some grit and determination she managed to ride it by herself at the weekend. First lap of the park, we had lots of screaming and a tantrum - refusing to get back on her bike. But then with a little blackmail, she got back on her bike and with a couple of laps she had it.
This is not the best video I took but the others were in portrait mode and not so easy to watch! You may want to turn the sound off as my voice sounds horrendous at the end!!!!
Next stop the Tour De France!!!

Shimelle - Sketch of the Week 23rd March

Here is my layout for Shimelle's Sketch of the Week for the 23rd March.
I have used Dawn Inskip's Taste the Rainbow digi kit.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge March Week 3

This week's challenge was set by Wonky and she challenged us to make a layout using 2 photos for 10 points, use scraps for 10 points, use bunting for 5 points and use a stamped image for 5 points.
As always I have done my layout in digi using Dawn Inskip products!!!
I have used her A New Start kit but have recoloured most of the elements to suit the colouring of the photos. The stamp is by Mari Koegelenberg and is called cupcake-stamp001. I have used this to "stamp" along the bottom of the page.
Full points for the Crafty Magpies!

Shimelle - Sketch of the Week 9th March

This week's sketch is yum yum and can be found here

Here is my layout. This week I made lots of cakes and took them to work to sell for Comic Relief. I was well chuffed when I managed to raise £95.
I am sat here watching Comic Relief on the TV and everything is so heart breaking - hopefully these few pounds will make a little difference somewhere.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge March Week 2

This week's challenge was set by Barbara aka A1BJM. She challenged us to use white space for 10 points, bling for 10 points and 1 or 2 photos for the final 10 points.
I have used the Butterfly Kisses digi kit by Natali Designs
I never get a photo of James, but my camera was playing up and so I used this as my excuse to get a close up photo of him.
The bling comes from colouring the Love word art in gold glitter.

UK Scrappers Monthly Challenge - March

This months challenge was to use the sketch provided and make a monochrome layout.
I find doing monochrome layouts a real challenge. The papers, glitters and alphas (recoloured) are from Dawn Inskip's - Inch Loss Plan and the other elements are all by Dawn and I have recoloured them to make them purple.

Crafty Magpie Monthly Mojo Challenge - March

I have a little confession to make. The idea of the mojo challenge is pick a challenge from our mojo jar blindly and then follow the instructions to make a layout. Well I don't know where my real life scrapping mojo has gone and I cheated and rummaged through the prompts until I found one that I liked the look of - thanks Stacey. It was to make a layout with a school theme.

My Weekly Life - Week 10

So proud of Zoe this week! We had parents evening on Tuesday and her teacher was full of glowing reports about her and then on Friday she came home with the Pupil of the week award.
A trip to Toys R Us is in order I think for a reward!

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge March Week 1

This week's challenge was set by Cosmic and she challenged us to create a layout with a splash of yellow for 5 points, use handmade, scrunched flowers for 10 points (obviously doing a digi layout makes this a tad difficult but I have found some from various kits and re-coloured them, to use squares for 5 points (have used different sizes of papers layered in squares and to use a season in the title for the final 10 points.
I have used Dawn Inskip's One Fine Day kit and her Lucky Dip alphas. I also used one of March's Page Map sketches.

Shimelle's - 4 x 6 Photo Love - February

February is the second month and so we were using 2 photos. The details of this year long project can be found here.
I have used all papers, alphas and elements from Dawn Inskip kits - not that I am obsessed with her lovely work, but my laptop is slowly filling up with them.

Shimelle's - Sketch of the Week - 23rd Feb

This week's sketch of the week from Shimelle can be found here. Here is my layout using the gorgeous new digi kit from Dawn Inskip called One Fine Day and the alphas are from Dawn's new Lucky Dip alpha kit. Both of these can be bought from the ScrapbookGraphics store.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge February Week 4

This week's challenge was set by the Weavers Cottage Girls. They challenged us to create a layout using fabric or sewing for 10 points, to use a technique that friend taught you for 10 points and finally to use purple for the last 10 points.
My technique was to convert a photo to black and white and then make a focal point in the photo into colour and then to change the colour into something else. I did this and then change the colour part from red to purple.
Full points claimed for the Crafty Magpies.
