A-Z Challenge I Layout
Here is my I layout for the A-Z challenge. I have used Bazzill scalloped edge card with circles cut from various papers. The title is cut on my Craft Robo using some paper I had made using Starburst Stains. I really struggled to come up with something for this prompt but the obvious choice was IRRESISTABLE as that is what she is.

Day 125 - Sunday 4th May
"Out of chaos comes the dance of balance" - Denise Kester
After yesterday’s chaos Zoë has been really well behaved today. We went into my work to buy some plants for the garden and arrange delivery of some turf and then we went over to Hobbycraft so I could get some ribbon for the wedding invites I am making.
Zoë was like a little angel and didn’t play up at all. She had a late night last night so we were expecting the worst but she behaved really well – no screaming fits, no tantrums and just did everything we asked of her.
To celebrate we took her to Monkey Bizzness and we had a lovely afternoon of playing, climbing and general rough and tumble. We are all exhausted now.

Day 124 - Saturday 3rd May
"Love the moment, and the energy of that moment will spread beyond all boundaries." - Corita Kent
Today has been pretty disastrous. We went to Gunwharf Quays which is designer outlet place in Portsmouth. I wanted to go to the Calvin Klein shop to get some new bras and to Papermill to get card for the wedding invites. It takes over an hour to get there and it took ages to get parked. We had a little wander around and then went for lunch.
Zoë started by knocking over her apple juice all on herself and then proceeded to play up for the rest of the day. We ended up fighting with her and every shop we went into she just screamed and screamed. One minute she wants to get out of the pushchair as she wants to walk, so you get her out. Then she doesn’t want to walk as she wants to be carried. So you pick her up, then she doesn’t want to be carried as she wants to walk. This went on and on all afternoon. I just about managed to get my card and my bras, but if I was in a shop and she was outside with James, I could hear her screaming. In the end we just decided to come home. We were going to go up the Spinnaker Tower but we decided that we just couldn’t risk it with the mood Zoë was in. I was really disappointed as I bought my camera and zoom lens along to take some good photos.

365 Challenge - Week 17 Layout
Here is my week 17 layout. I have based it loosely on the Pretty in Pink CyberCrop class from last weekend on UKS. I have used Anna Griffin paper which I tore the edges off, added paper flowers and buttons, gems and chipboard swirls. The words are printed on pink paper then cut out roughly and just doodled on them.

Day 123 - Friday 2nd May
"There's no time like the pleasant" - Oliver Herford
I went into work today even though I normally have Fridays off. I have to give at least a week’s notice to book Zoë in for an extra day at nursery and my assistant’s girlfriend was due to have her baby induced last Monday if she didn’t go into labour naturally. As the baby could have come at any time I had to book the nursery to have Zoë just in case I needed to go into work. As it turned out the baby came more or less on time and John had his week off before today so in the end I didn’t need to go to work. If Zoë doesn’t go to nursery I still have to pay for her to go so I thought I may as well go into work.
This morning it was very tempting to take Zoë to nursery and instead of going to work, to come home and have a day to myself. I am really behind with the challenges and want to make some cards using my new Sugar Nellie stamps. However I felt so guilty about taking a day off without Zoë, that I went to work anyway.
Zoë still has 2 of her easter eggs and I notice that they both go out of date in May so she had a pleasant time trying to eat her chocolate goose. As much as she loves chocolate, even it was too much for her.

Day 122 - Thursday 1st May
“A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams” - Anon.
How very true this quote is! We live in a two bedroom flat and although it is not a house, it is definitely a home!
We bought the flat about 10 years ago with the thought that it would be our first home and that we stay here for a couple of years and then buy a bigger house.
Somehow we are still here! The housing marketing went silly and we were never sure when to buy. The flat has tripled in value. Then we had Zoë which meant that we had less money for a big mortgage and now the market is supposedly going the other way and so we are now not sure whether is safe to buy a house without ending up with negative equity. So we have decided to stay here a bit longer.
I would love to have my own craft room but this is impossible in the flat. The plus side of the flat is that our monthly mortgage payments are tiny and this means that we can have pretty good life style and have money to do things that we would perhaps be unable to do if we had a huge mortgage.
It may not be the biggest or the poshest of flats, but it is ours, it is warm and dry and provides a safe haven for Zoë to grow up in.
