UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge January Week 3

This week's challenge was set by Mrs Cheshire. She challenged us to use a sketch for 10 points, alter some patterned paper in some way for 10 points, use some ribbon for 5 points and to use chipboard for the final 5 points.
I have used Dawn Inskip's new kit called Snapshot. I have a November 2010 sketch from Page maps - see here which I then turned 90 degrees right.
I have recoloured the paper on the right hand side of the layout - it was originally pink and purple and I have made it orangey. There are 2 small ribbon embellishments on the layout and I have used a chipboard frame around the "mugshot" label.

A New Year Project - My weekly life

I keep seeing all these Project 365 layouts and I love them. I have done various daily challenges in the past, but they are hard to keep up with so I have decided to do a weekly summary of my "highlights". Mind you there maybe some lowlights too. I am hoping to do a weekly digi page and to get it printed out at the end of the year as a photo book.
I am using Dawn Inskip's Project 365 Grab Bag and her templates (although I am tweaking those as I go!).
Have had a bit of a catch up this afternoon. The project will run Saturday to Friday.

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge January Week 2

This week's challenge was set by Nerlly and she challenged us to:

Use at least three patterned papers for some lovely layering : 10 points
Use some neglected die-cuts or make your own: 10 points
Dig something out of the pile of scraps on your desk and use it on your page: 5 points
Ink something with an ink pad you've hardly used: 5 points

I am aiming to do every weekly challenge but always in digi, so some of the rules I have had to take quite a liberal view on. I have used an old digi kit from the Digital Scrap Cafe called Birthday Girl - I am classing this as pile of scraps from my desk as it is a kit I haven't used in ages and it is on the "desktop" of my computer. I have used inner shadows on the patterned papers to make them look like they are inked. I used a star shaped Cookie Cutter Tool within PSE to make the stars which are my "die-cuts".

UK Scrappers Weekly Challenge January Week 1

This week's challenge was set by Joanne (aka Cardlynes). She challenged us to use a clock on the layout for 10 points, use new stash for 10 points and to put some journalling on the layout for the final 10 points.

I have used Dawn Inskip's kit called A New Start which I bought today just to do this layout with. The photo is of Zoe in her party dress all dressed up ready for her Christmas dinner party at school at the end of last term.

Crafty Magpie Monthly Mojo Challenge

Our team have started a new challenge for the new year. We each sent out 10 mojo prompts to all our team members and then at the first day of each month, we have pick a prompt and then create a layout following the instructions on the prompt.
My first prompt was to scrap a blurred photo.
I used the photo that I took whilst at the Peter Pan panto. I got told off by an usher for taking the photo. It is of Peter Pan as she flew over the audience - and VERY blurry!

UKS January Monthly Challenge

The monthly challenge for January has a sketch provided by Scrap Dolly and we were challenged to add some journalling. I woke up on New Years Day feeling really achey and then got flu and spent the next 5 days in bed.

Crafting backlog

I haven't posted anything on my blog for ages but I have done quite a bit of crafting in the last month or so.

I took part in the Cyber Crop on UKS and scrapped for 48 hours.
