Day 186 - Friday 4th July

Grumpy – Long beard, red tunic, brown hat and scowl.

Well I feel quite grumpy this morning as Molly the cat decided to leave a little parcel for me on the kitchen floor which she kindly thought to wrap in a tea towel first. Not the best thing to see when you first wake up!

Grumpy personality characteristics are:

· Grumpy is self confident and assertive – No but I wish I could be more assertive
· Grumpy is suspicious and distrustful – I hope not
· Grumpy may be argumentative and hard to control - Nope
· Have a clear set of standards and beliefs – Yes I do
· Have no patience or understanding of individuals who do not value these systems – No each to his own
· They value competence and efficiency – Yes I do
· Grumpy is extremely straight-forward and honest – I like to think I am

So I am not too grumpy, unlike my darling Zoë who has woken in a terrible grumpy mood. Oh what fun today is going to be!!!!

Day 185 - Thursday 3rd July

Dopey – Beardless, green tunic, purple hat and big ears.

Well I feel quite dopey this morning as our alarm clock packed up in the night and so we woke at 7.30am instead of our usual 6.45am. Luckily I am not going to work today so I didn’t have to rush too much – just had to get Zoë ready.

Dopey personality characteristics are:
· Dopey people are very flexible, have a simple sense of humour which they use in tense situations – yes I am always making inappropriate jokes
· Dopey is good on the physical plane, he like to be active and exercise, work well with his hands and is able to master tools with ease – Nope not me!
· Dopeys tend to be quiet and reserved, and difficult to get to know well – No not me again
· Dopey is good attention payer – yes I like to think I do
· Dopey is very aware of his senses, the way things look, taste, feel, and smell – yes I am definitely this
· Dopey dwarf people are kind, gentle, and sensitive in their dealings with people – again I hope that I am
· Dopey tends to be animal lover and appreciate the beauty of nature - DEFINITELY
· Dopey is original and independent in their view of the world – not very much, I am a bit of a sheep
· While they come across as being carefree and lighthearted, they actually take life very seriously, although they are uncomfortable with theorizing – very true
· Dopey-dwarf type tends to be artistic – I try as hard as I can!!!
· They also enjoy solitary activities – yes I do

So perhaps I am quite Dopey too!!!! I think James would agree with that.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #3

This is my entry for the Penny Black challenge. It had to use the colours pink, green and brown. I have used brown card which I have embossed using Cuttlebug With Love embossing folder and added some pink and green gems to the flower centres. The papers are Laura Ashley. The stamp is "Buzz in the Air" which I have coloured using Colour Soft pencils and used a Sakura glitter pens for the wings. I then used some ribbon. The greeting is from Hero Arts.

365 Challenge - Week 26 Layout

For this week's layout we had to use the prompt from Day 176 which was Good, Bad and Ugly. I have used a photo of Zoe eating her dinner which can be a messy affair. I have journalled round each circle of Zoe's eating habits.

Day 184 - Wednesday 2nd July

Doc – Short beard, red tunic, brown hat and glasses

This is quite apt for me today as I have had my hospital appointment for my back. I was prodded and poked, sent for blood tests and x-rays. The doctor thinks it may be arthritis in my back that is causing me all my problems. I have to go back in 3 weeks for my results.

The Snow White website states that the Doc personality is:
· Doc-dwarf people are very verbal about their opinions – Yep that’s me
· Doc is intimidating to other group members – I hope not
· They are "take charge" people – I am a complete control freak
· They dislike to see mistakes repeated, and have no patience with inefficiency – oops I think that is me
· Docs love to interact with people – YES, YES, YES
· As Extroverts, they're energized and stimulated primarily externally – Yes yet again

Having read the whole Doc personality characteristics I would say I am pretty Doc like which I am not exactly convinced is a good thing.

Scrap Your Day - June layout

Having a few days off work and have managed to do my June layout.

Shimelle asked us to make pockets with the photos to hide other photos behind. I wore high heeled shoes to work and by the end of the day my feet were killing me. My hidden photos are my shoes off, my sore feet and my slippered feet.

Day 183 - Tuesday 1st July

New week, New month and I am feeling the need to have some fun! Let me introduce you to Snow Whites seven little helpers!

Wow exactly half way through the challenge and still going strong!!!

Willow pointed me to a website based on a theory that defines people by the Seven Dwarfs and their qualities and I have pulled out some positives and negatives of a Bashful personality that I think are relevant to me:
· Bashful is hard working, warm, and generous – Yes I think I am this
· Bashful may try to hide in the middle of the group – Nope that is so not me.
· All bashfuls are generally quiet – Definitely NOT!!!
· Bashfuls wait to hear others' views before expressing their own – Not very often
· Bashfuls like to think the best of people – This is definitely me, often to my cost
· Bashfuls have an artistic sense or appreciation – I wish!!!
· They do not usually express their own feelings, keeping things inside. – No I like to share my problems as I believe it helps
· Bashfuls feel a strong sense of responsibility and duty – Most definitely
· Bashfuls have a difficult time saying "no" when asked to do something – Yes and it really annoys me that I cannot say No
