My Freedom - Week 1 Day 2

If you could travel in time for just one day, where would you go and what would you do?

For this I have used a photo that I haven’t taken as it would be somewhere that I have never been before and the first thing that popped into my head was a photo that I used to see every day on my old work computer. It is of 3 palm trees on a little sandy island surrounded by beautiful turquoise seas. I would love to be able to put up a hammock between 2 of the trees and lie there all day reading a book – I would be thin, tall and tanned, oh and beautiful of course – like something out of a Bounty advert. Perhaps it is because of my love of Bounty’s that I look the way I do ;-)

My Freedom - Week 1 Day 1

Another new challenge that I have undertaken.

This is on-line class by Shimelle called My Freedom. More information can be found here http://www.shimelle.com/classes/353/a-new-class-for-summer.
It is a 5 week course with daily prompts for photography and story telling and at the end of it I will have a complete album (hopefully)which tells my story in a new way. We will be capturing the spontaneity of life and put it in perspective with thoughts about the past, present and future.
The first prompt is about time and travel. We have to take photos representing these two subjects. The blog prompt is to put up our favourite clock photo and then let you, my readers, know how I will make time for this project.
Well the clock bit is easy as this is the clock that lives in Zoe’s room. It did have a pendulum with her name on it but the clock fell off the wall and broke. But I still love it. And how I am going to make time for this project... ...well to be honest, god only knows how I am going to fit this in with working, being a mum and all the other crafting challenges I am doing this year. I know that I will though as once I have set myself a challenge I always stick to it. I was even taking photos as I driving to work today!!! Is that illegal? Is it the same as using a mobile phone?

Day 189 - Monday 7th July

Sneezy – Short Beard, brown jacket, orange headpiece and red nose

Well yesterday I thought perhaps I was coming down with a cold but it hasn’t come to anything so I think I am ok.

Sneezy personality characteristics are:
· Sneezy is organized and methodical – yes I am totally!!!
· Sneezy has strong sense of duty so follow through on tasks assigned – yep me again
· Sneezy takes pride in his loyalty and faithful dependability – yes I do
· Sneezy is very honest and respect the rules of the group – yes I do and will get annoyed when others don’t
· Sneezies are quiet and reserved individuals who are interested in security and peaceful living – no I am not quiet or reserved but I do like security and a quiet life
· Sneezy will work for long periods of time and put tremendous amounts of energy into doing any task which they see as important to fulfilling a goal – most definitely

Oh I am quite sneezy too. I think I have quite a few traits of all the dwarves except for grumpy and sleepy. Perhaps I am a confused dwarf

Day 188 - Sunday 6th July

Sleepy – Long beard, green top, blue hat and heavy eyelids

It is like Anna is dictating the mood of the day with these prompts. Today I do feel really sleepy and am wondering if I am coming down with a cold. I have a sore throat and am a bit sneezy (although maybe this will get worse for tomorrow’s prompt). I had a good night’s sleep for the first time in at least a week and it has left me feeling like I want to go back to bed. Chance would be a fine thing!!!

Sleepy personality characteristics are:
· Sleepy is unresponsive – no that is definitely not me
· Sleepy acts bored – I only do this if I am bored!
· Sleepy daydreams – sometimes but aren’t we all guilty of this?
· Sleepy brings down the energy of the whole group – I hope I never to do this
· Sleepy is hard to draw into a conversation – nope never
· They like to take things apart and see the way they work – no if they work then leave well alone
· Sleepies types value privacy and sometimes keep important issues to themselves – no I am hopeless at keeping problems to myself, I like to talk things through
· Sleepy likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when they can sort things out in their minds most clearly – very rarely, I would much rather be with people
· They like to be up and about, doing things – no I quite to some time out to do nothing much
· They are not people to sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning – no this is what I do do

So I am not a Sleepy dwarf, which is fine by me.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #4

This is my entry for the challenge. I have used a brown card blank and then put on a turquoise blue mat with another brown layer which I embossed using the hearts cuttlebug embossing folder. The stamp is "A Great Surprise" coloured in using Coloursoft pencils. The greeting is a Bo Bunny rub on and I have added some buttons. Not overly happy with the card so may do another one this week if I get the chance.

Day 187 - Saturday 5th July

Happy – Short beard, brown top, orange headpiece and smile.

Yesterday only got worse on the Zoë grumpy front but hopefully after a good 12 hours sleep she seems happy today. I am very happy as I have weighed myself this morning and I am now under 10 st. I am 9st 13.5 lb. Yippee!!!! I only ever once got below 10 st and that is when I was major dieting for our wedding.

Happy personality characteristics are:
· Happy is very likable, warm, and energetic – I like to think I am
· Happys are supportive of the leader, group members, and task at hand – Yes that’s me
· Happy responds quickly to request from leader to do an exercise or help out – Yes I like to help where I can
· Happy promptly completes any assignments given – I hate to have anything outstanding – I feel pressure to gets things done quickly
· Happy nods affirmatively and expresses positive interest – I am definitely a half full glass type of person
· Happy does best in a fun, whimsical environment – most definitely
· Happy's strong desire to be liked and to maintain a pleasant environment makes him highly supportive of others – Yep that’s me again
· Happy takes responsibilities very seriously, and are very dependable – yes again
· Happys at their best are warm, sympathetic, helpful, cooperative, tactful, down-to-earth, practical, thorough, consistent, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic. They enjoy tradition and security, and will seek stable lives that are rich in contact with friends and family – I think pretty much sums me up

I took the Snow White personality test and I came out as a Happy Dwarf – I can see why!!!!

Sugar Nellie - Tractor card.

Here is a card I have made for a 1st birthday/naming day tomorrow. The stamp is Sugar Nellie coloured with my favourite Coloursoft pencils. The paper is from DCWV Nana stack with blue card behind from my Go Go Greetings July kit. The tractors are actually clay buttons from Hobbycraft and the sentiment is a Bo Bunny rub on.
