A piece of Lego!
Well my only thought was a candle, but could be lego knowing James likes lego but that is Lynne's guess not mine.
Looks like a candle holder base to me, with a yellow candle, or night light. Definitely looks like china!
It could be a push button on something maybe a toy, push it and make something squeak!
