Day 142 - Wednesday 21st May

“I feel the capacity to care is the thing which gives life its deepest significance.” - Pablo Casals (1876-1973), cellist, conductor

I would like to dedicate this journal entry to my fellow 365’ers on the UK Scrappers website as they have to be the most caring bunch of people that I have come to know. I have never met any of them but in the last 5 months we have created such a strong bond between us. No matter what the problem or issue, they are always there with words of strength and encouragement, always ready to give support and lots of cyber hugs. I don’t think there is one of us who could say that they haven’t gained anything from taking part in this challenge.
We are all hoping to meet up in November for a weekend of scrapping and fun. I can’t wait for this. I really do not know what I am going to do at the end of December when this challenge comes to an end.
I think these ladies know me better than some of my friends. I tend to share things with them that I might not tell my “real life” friends. On Friday I found a bald patch in the front of my hair which my hairdresser confirmed to be alopecia. I was feeling very tearful and I had a strong urge to talk to my fellow 365’ers about it as I knew that they would make me feel better. I don’t know what has caused the alopecia and I am trying not to worry about it so that it won’t get any worse. It is something that I have to act that I don’t care about.

Claire there is nothing I can say but I do feel privileged that you feel that you can share these very personal things with us. We do indeed care for each other in a very real way.

Claire you really special person who has shared your ups and downs of the past 5 months with us.
I feel that I know you so well and feel for you when you are unwell or stressed. Here is a big ((((((((((hug)))))))))) for being so brave about your hair at the moment, I am sure it will sort itself out soon and start to grow back.

Claire - your journalling is lovely. So glad you can open up to us. I like to think we are here for each other. I certainly don't think I would have carried on with this challenge on my own and would have been the poorer for it.
Try not too worry too much about your hair. Hopefully after a nice holiday and a bit of relaxation it will start to grow again.

Can only reiterate what other people have said, it has been a privilige getting to know you, and hope our comments have helped you in tough times. Life nowadays is more stressful, especially for Mum's, so much more pressure on you to do the right thing, but just follow your heart and things will work out!

Thank you that you consider us your friends. it is wonderful that for 6 mths we chat daily more than once a day too!and can be so honest and open to each other and share such personal things I too am excited about our meeting in Nov, an early Christmas treat is how I view it!
Do hope that your hair will soon grow back. you have had a lot of illness this year and wonder if this is now the result of your ill health?
Any way not long now to that well earned holiday :)

Claire I love reading your journalling, you are such a natural person and although I may not contribute, blog wise etc,I do feel very privileged to be here. This challenge has developed into a loving caring group of ladies from all walks of life, all ages and we are sharing everyones ups and downs as we progress though the year. It is a way of sharing things that you would otherwise think twice about with a 'real' person. ((((((HUGS))))) hun xx
