My journalling reads:
"Long gone are the days when we used to go out on New Year’s Eve and come home so drunk that our hangovers would last until the second of January.
Since having Zoë, James goes on call every New Year’s Eve to make sure that he gets Christmas Day off. We will normally sit on the sofa, me with a glass of something, lots of nibbles and Jools Holland on the telly and this year will be no different.
We are both off work during the day today but we are sending Zoë to nursery so that we can get on with the painting in her room. We will probably go off and order the carpet too today and look for some new lighting to go in there.
And there will be no hangover in sight tomorrow!!!!"
