“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” —Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862); philosopher, writer, naturalist
We all had childhood dreams, mine was to be a vet, a musician and a fashion designer (when older). What were your dreams, and are you living them?
I cannot think of a specific dream from my childhood. I think as many children, my wishes changed overtime. At one point I thought I would like to be a vet, then perhaps a teacher. When I chose what A levels to do, I wanted to really concentrate on my languages and perhaps become a bilingual secretary. A Level French was nothing like I expected and I ended up hating it. How I ended up in computing is a bit of a fluke really. I didn’t do particularly well in my A Levels and although I applied for a law degree course amongst others, I was only accepted on the computing courses, so my future was decided for me. I love my job but I wish I had worked a lot harder on my A Levels and then I would have more options available to me.
How I get that across to Zoë without appearing to be a nagging Mum, I do not know!!!

A great photo of Zoe in her boots.
Still loving those boots.:)
Oh great photo! You can say all you want but children have to learn their own lessons, hopefully your wise guidance will help her on her way!
