"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose. " - Dr. Seuss
This is quite an apt prompt for yesterday. When I picked up Zoe from Nursery yesterday I was told that her wellies had a hole in them and her feet had got soaked whilst out playing. In the morning whilst getting her ready for Nursery I had noticed that she had outgrown her trainers – she has been wearing sandals or Crocs all summer and her feet had gone up 2 sizes. So on the way home from work I had to stop at Brantanos and buy her some new wellies and some new trainers.
At Nursery, they have all their drinks on a shelf and behind each drink is a name card so the child knows where to put their drink. The girls had been testing Zoe with these name cards and Zoe could recognise every child’s name on the cards. She can identify most of the letters of the alphabet by link them to a child in her group at Nursery or family member.
So she has brains (although not sure where she get’s them from!) and she has new shoes so she is ready to take off in any direction that she wants to.
