"When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child." - Sophia Loren
Happy Mothers Day!
The prompt is very truthful and today is a good example of it. Although it is meant to be a day when the Mother gets treated, in our house it is no different to any other day and there are jobs to get done that won’t get done if I don’t do them. I have had no card or presents other than the card that ZoĆ« made me at nursery the other day which I shall cherish. I did get a cup of tea in bed so I suppose that is something. But otherwise the day goes on.
I have done a big pile of ironing but did cheat at the end and decide that the non-essential stuff could be left for another day. We are going to the in-laws for lunch later so I need to get on with stuff. I have a few tweaks to make to her card as I am not overly happy with it. The weekly food shop has to be done too. The house could do with a hoover round but I will run out of time so that will have to wait.
I am dying to play with my camera after my course yesterday. I learned loads. All stuff that I have read from books but it actually made some sense when someone was telling you it and I could ask questions. I treated myself to a new lens for portraits, so I would love to play with that, but am just too busy, so it will have to wait.
This is the Mother's Day card I made for my mum-in-law. I added the hearts this morning as it looked a bit bare without them.

Claire a lovely card and think of yesterday as your special time instead of today. i'm just about to iron as I watch TV.could do it anyday I suppose not like you who goes to work :)
When your kids grow is when you really get spoilt for Mother's day! Know what you mean about chores to do etc! Enjoy what you can of today! Love the card!
