"Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas." ~ Peg Bracken
I think this prompt is very true and I love to receive hand made things as I know that a lot of time and effort has gone into the gift. It could be the most simplest of items but because someone has taken their precious time to make it, it makes it all the more special.
This year I have made an acrylic calendar for Zoe’s Grandma and Grandad. Each page has a photo of Zoe from the same month in 2008. I thought this would be a good way for them to see how much she has changed in a year as each month goes by. I never made an acrylic album before so it was a bit of trial and error but I am pleased with it.
I want to make another one for my Dad who doesn’t see Zoe very often but time is running out rapidly. I am hoping that I can make the 2 calendars identical and that now I have made one, the other one will come together quickly.
I have made handmade Christmas cards for everyone this year and they have been greatly appreciated
